This summer’s Men in Black 3 is bringing the popular franchise to the big screen after a few years off, but Activision is bringing the well-dressed secret agents to the small screens of your living room with Men in Black: Alien Crisis, arriving in May for the PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii.
GamerPops has an exclusive look at the weapons you’ll wield as MIB agent-in-training Peter Delacour, rooting out an alien menace that’s threatening to destroy Earth. Some, like the Noisy Cricket, we’ve seen in action in the movies before, while others are going to be new to the agent’s arsenal. Two players can play together via splitscreen, and four players can compete in “hot seat” competitions.
Taking full advantage of the game’s shooting action, Men in Black: Alien Crisis will feature Wii Zapper, Top Shot Elite and PlayStation Move Sharpshooter compatibility, which is great, because I’ll finally be able to put the Sharpshooter I bought after Christmas to good use.
You can check out the weapon images and descriptions below, and look for Men in Black: Alien Crisis to hit store shelves on May 22, just days before Men in Black 3 arrives in theatres.
The MIB’s standard issue pistol has been a staple of the good guys for two decades making its debut in the original Men In Black. While not packing as much of punch as some of the other tools up your sleeve, its inconspicuous nature makes it the perfect sidearm for sly missions.
While its size is unassuming, this firearm packs a punch! When used properly, the noisy cricket can demolish a semi, destroy three feet of concrete, and definitely do some damage to those pesky aliens but not many agents ever get the hang of handling the extreme power. With proper training, you could be that agent!
The sign of a true agent is wielding the deatomizer. It has become a staple in any MIB’s repertoire and has evolved since the earliest model with the foundation of the agency. Overtime, it has become the powerful weapon it is today.
Tri-barrel Plasma Gun
This weapon is reserved for only the most dangerous of weapons. Its massive size and unbelievable power make it perfect for leveling a city block or use in heavy assault. As you train to become a top MIB agent, be sure to only refer to the tri-barrel plasma gun in the most serious situations.
Not only does every agent need to be completely trained on their own arsenal, they need to know what the bad guys are packing too! Adorians favorite go-to is the crossbow. While not the most accurate, agents need to be weary of the range and large rounds of the enemy weapon.
