The Dragon Effect

A little bit ago, I reviewed EA and Bioware’s latest RPG, Dragon Age 2. It was a good game, but it had some flaws keeping it from being great. After beating it, I thought my adventures with Dragon Age would be over for quite a while, or at least until I decided to go through a second play through, but the other day I received an email from EA/Bioware. At first I believed it would just be spam, since they recently released some new DLC for Mass Effect 2. I was going to just delete it as I do with all the spam that ends up in my box, but I was sitting at work and I figured looking at spam would be more fun than looking at my Excel spreadsheet, so I opened it up. As someone who purchased Dragon Age 2 early, Bioware and EA decided they were going to reward me with a free copy of the PC version of Mass Effect 2!

I was shocked. I already have a copy of Mass Effect 2 for my 360 (beaten it twice), but this is still one of the cooler things a game company has done for me. EA used to get badmouthed for being this evil corporation that was out to get all the money, and here they are giving one of their biggest titles away! If you haven’t yet purchased Dragon Age 2, EA is extending this Mass Effect 2 deal until April 30, so if you want to get your hands on both of these games, you’d better act fast. And all you other game publishers out there (ahem, Activision) this is how you should reward your loyal customers.
