The original LEGO Battles game for the Nintendo DS served as a fun little introduction to the Real Time Strategy genre for those, especially kids, who’ve never played an RTS before. So how do you go about making LEGO Battles even better? The way you improve anything. Just add ninjas.
LEGO Ninjago is a toy line that brings LEGO to the “battling spinning top” realm occupied by toys such as Battle Strikers and Beyblades. The LEGO ninjas master the art of “Spinjitzu” to battle and conquer their opponents. And now LEGO Battles and LEGO Ninjago have combined together to create LEGO Battles: Ninjago for the Nintendo DS.
Launching April 12th in North America, LEGO Battles: Ninjago unleashes gamers into a world where heroic ninjas face-off against evil Skeleton forces to restore harmony to the Earth. Along the way players will encounter powerful LEGO adversaries and master the aforementioned Spinjitzu – a frenetic tornado-like spinning combat technique used to defeat enemies both new and recognizable to the LEGO universe. While you wait for the game to release, check out the trailer below.
