In my review of Halo: Reach, I suggested that amongst the ranks of M-rated first person shooters, Halo: Reach was definitely on the milder end of the spectrum. Compared to other titles like Call of Duty, there’s a reasonable argument to be made that in spite of its M for Mature Rating, Halo: Reach is maybe one of the better options of kids who aren’t 18, but want to play a AAA first person shooter. It’s an individual call for parents, but freelance journalist Ryan Rigney spoke with the ESRB’s Director of Communications Eliot Mizrachi about how it determines reviews for games, and how the reviews can be a guide for parents.
