In the latest trailer for Atari’s upcoming racer Test Drive Unlimited 2, we get a good look at the customization side of things. I’m not really sure where exactly you classify Test Drive Unlimited 2 on the racing game scale, but the emphasis on creating the car, the character and the lifestyle that you want is definitely something unique. With the hugely successful Gran Turismo 5 and Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit having been out long enough, there’s a window for another good racing game this February, and Test Drive Unlimited 2 seems to have enough unique going for that it that it can continue the excellent momentum that racing games built up in 2010.
