First, Jimmy was betrayed. Now, he’s back for revenge. In the world of pulp crime fiction, that goes without saying, so it’s no surprise that blood will be shed and wrongs will be righted in Mafia II‘s latest DLC outing, Jimmy’s Vendetta, which arrives on Xbox Live and PSN this week.
Having had the chance to play through Mafia II (look for Jeff’s review in the coming days, plus an in-depth discussion on the next GamerPops PopsCast), the extremely linear nature of the story left me wanting more. Specifically, more to do in the gorgeously rendered world of Empire Bay. Hopefully, some of that wanting will be addressed by this latest DLC adventure, Jimmy’s Vendetta, which offers not only a new storyline, but also several new gameplay modes as well, including assassinations, vehicle pursuits, and plenty of shootouts. Your scores in these feats will also be tracked on the all-new leaderboards, something that the real mafia has sorely lacked.
