The folks at 505 games have shared the first in a series of developer diary for their upcoming Spring release, Backbreaker Football. Every time I see a new video for this game, I get a little more excited, hoping that this might provide actual competition for Madden.

In this video, the developers discuss the Euphoria Engine, and how it creates unique tackle animations on the fly. In addition, they discuss the choice to use a third-person camera view.

Backbreaker comes out this Spring for the PS3 and Xbox360.
